Our mission is simple:  we work each day to become our client’s trusted technical partner by supporting their mission-critical facilities through exceptional levels of service and quality.  In order to do so, we create a collaborative environment between our employees and clients that fosters the highest level of professionalism and leadership within the data center industry.

History

Bureau Veritas Primary Integration was founded on a basic premise: to become the highest-quality data center commissioning firm in the world.  In 2005 we began the work of making that dream a reality.
 
At the time, there was no other firm that was focused solely on the testing and commissioning of data center projects.  Commissioning traditionally delivered by companies that also provided engineering and design services.  Our goal was to start a Commissioning Services company that was focused on the most rigorous processes supported by the most technically qualified and experienced professionals in the industry. 
 
This focus allowed us to set the bar at the highest level possible.  Soon after starting, we created Centers for Excellence that studied every aspect of the electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and controls systems that drive modern data centers.  We also knew that technical expertise was only a part of the equation, so we concentrated our project delivery around the pillars of transparency, collaboration, communication, and team problem solving.
 
Early on, our clients asked if we could provide services to bridge the gap between the construction phase of the project and its operation. We identified these transitional phase services, which included developing operations and maintenance procedures, providing training to operations personnel, and providing oversight of maintenance activities.  This became such a consistent request that we formed an Operations Consulting Services group within BVPI that focused specifically on helBVPIng our clients during this phase of their projects. 
 
More recently, as data center construction has increased and their time to market has decreased, we saw a demand for MEP focused quality control expertise.  For the same reason we started Transitional Phase Services, we now have a QA/QC Services group that focuses on system readiness for the functional testing phase of commissioning.
 
From our original headquarters in McLean, VA, we expanded to seven strategic locations within the United States and Europe.   By early 2010, BVPI was considered the leading provider of not only data center commissioning services, but operations consulting and quality control/quality assurance services as well. 
 
Our success in the mission-critical market attracted the attention of Bureau Veritas S.A., a leading international provider of testing, inspection and certification services.  In 2017, Bureau Veritas Primary Integration was acquired by Bureau Veritas S.A., and now has proven global support for its core mission of providing critical solutions to clients anywhere in the world.
